I am originally from the West Coast, and have lived here for about 7 years.
I am a two time Delta State alumni.
I am very excited to be a part of the Charleston High School, and call myself a tiger!
I believe there are eight essential elements that are valuable to student success. (1) Treat all students equally. (2) Help students achieve academic success. (3) Always support and accept students. (4) Focus on the students’ positive traits. (5) Praise the efforts of students rather than their intellectual abilities. (6) Make sure to validate the students’ feelings. (7) Try to make accommodations for their learning style. (8) Be their voice.
I aim to bring positive energy, motivation, innovation, patience, acceptance, empathy, dedication, resilience, and advocacy to my job every day. I am motivated to make a difference that is impactful, positive, and ongoing. I believe it is my responsibility to ensure that every student has the resources and support to graduate, be successful, and to continue to a bright future. I will strive to guide every student to achieve at their highest academic potential.
